Most nationalities don’t need a visa for a stay shorter than 90 days. Upon arrival, you’ll receive a stamp in your passport that entitles you to stay up to 3 months. Please check with the South African embassy in your country.
The road network is generally in good condition with clear signposts. You can draw money from an ATM or pay with a credit card almost everywhere. ATMs are readily available.
There are also numerous supermarkets that all have an excellent and varied selection of goods.
We would like to say to try and prevent getting ill while on holiday. However, in case you do fall sick, it’s essential that you have your insurance documents with you. Check before you travel whether you are adequately insured. Primary care in South Africa is generally fine. In the unlikely event that hospitalisation is required, we would advise visiting a private clinic.
Both are possible. Self-drives in South Africa are relatively straightforward. Experience shows that most people quickly master driving on the left. Would you rather not drive yourself? No problem! There are many travel services available.
On-site, there is a reception and a swimming pool, as well as a hostess and security guards.

The villas are located on the outskirts of Phalaborwa. Hoedspruit Airport is a 50-minute drive from Phalaborwa. Direct flights depart from Johannesburg. At the airport, you will find a few car rental companies where you can rent a car for a short or more extended period. Alternatively, we are happy to provide transfers.
You are welcome to check in between 2 pm and 7 pm. If you already have an expected arrival time in mind, kindly let us know in advance. The latest check-out time is 10.30 am.
We would never forget about our smallest guests! Baby cots and high chairs are available on request. Kindly mention whether you will be needing these items when you make a booking.
Yes, all Bush Villas have WiFi. This is included in your stay. Keep in mind that the speed of Internet can be significantly slower than in other parts of the world, like in Europe for example.
Yes, a mandatory refundable deposit of ZAR 1,500 per villa per stay is required on check-in via credit card to cover any breakages, damages or extreme cleaning to the premises. All damage or breakages will be charged at their replacement cost plus an additional charge to absorb administration costs. Upon check out the deposit will be released in full from our bank within 7 working days from the check-out date, if no damage occurred or no extreme cleaning of the villa is needed.
